Humor, My Love

I don't know about you, but I love a company with a great sense of humor.  Actually, I love people with a great sense of humor.  Let me bottom-line this:  I love humor.  Period.

On Instagram - my very favorite genre of social media - I am loving all the humorous posts by Pick Your Plum, a daily deal company.  You can find their Instagram account here.  Every image in this blog post is from Pick Your Plum's Instagram feed.  Fun, aren't they?

This one below is my absolute favorite.  Isn't it true?  Sadly true, indeed.

xo,

Jen

PS - Let's connect on Instagram.  I sooooo love that easy, visual space.

Instaport {for Tech Tuesday}

I recently needed to have access to all my Instagram photos for a holiday project.  Since they aren't downloadable from Instagram, I used this handy-dandy tool, Instaport, to download them.

It was  a total snap to do.  After opening Instaport, I just logged onto my Instagram account.  Chose my date range to download (you can also download by #hashtag, which is soooo cool and another good reason to use hashtags).  Then, click on "start export."  It took under a minute to download my Instagrams and now, I have all of them saved to my computer.

Ready for fun projects.  Hurrah!

Happy Tech Tuesday!

Jen

PS - Are you making any cool holiday projects this year?  I'd love to hear about them.  I've been uber-busy making holiday garlands.  #garlandaddict

Instagram Services {for Tech Tuesday}

I think I prefer Instagram over any other social media outlets.  It is visual, tidy, and artistic (most of the time).

To celebrate my admiration of Instagram (IG), I've collected  four of my favorite services related to it.  If you have a fav you think I/we should know about, please add it to the comments section below.

Postagram - Thanks to a blog post over at Crafterhours, I know about this awesome, app-based service.  It is simple to use:  you download the app, click on one of your IG photos and instantly send a hardcopy (a real postcard) to a friend!  Or better yet, send a postcard to a grandparent; You will score instant brownie points with this fee-based service.  Hurray!

Mpix - What makes Mpix so handy is their app.  You just tap on your photo and can order IG-sized photos straight from your phone.  You can do this with the Costco app, too, but their photos are not sized to the lovely, IG square.  I love that square.

Artifact Rising - This company makes beautiful, soft cover books of your IG photos in two sizes and two price points ($13 and $28).  I think their books are great for a gift - say for a teacher - or super if you are on a budget.

Stickygram - When I was in elementary school, I collected stickers.  Stickers + IG photos = Total awesome sauce.  For $15, you can order a sheet of nine sticker photos.  I think this might be my new "I dig you" gift - for faraway friends and family members.

Happy Instagramming!  Come by IG to see what I'm up to at @upcyclededucation.

Best,

Jen

PS - For the next three weeks, I am taking a phoneography class at Under the Sycamore.  Here's to my IG photos getting even better and more clearer! Huzzah!

LIfe Updated: Spring is in the air

Hello, Spring.  Good to see you.....

(In order from top left to right)
  1. Our family is in its third round of ice skating lessons.  Boy, have we all improved.  I still make everyone wear their ski helmets on the ice.  You know how I feel about helmet use.
  2. Lil O is a voracious reader these days.  Here favs are the Dear Dumb Diary series and the Thea Stilton mysteries.  Our library stocks the shelves with them, yay!  More love for our public library.
  3. Did I mention I celebrated my birthday?  More on that another day.  In the meantime, look at the fun present from Dr G.
  4. You probably already saw my welcome home committee at the airport.  Jedi and Mr. UpCyclist are my two male loves :)
  5. In between convention proceedings, I managed to wrangle some time with west coast friends, Sheri and Dr. I (pictured here).  Don't we look soooo happy?  I swear we didn't stop talking and catching up all day long.  It was glorious.
  6. I will soon be driving to a nursery to stock up on succulents.  They make me think of my week in California, which in turn makes me happy.
  7. Flying on planes has never been my favorite activity in the world because I get so sleepy, but this last haul to the west coast was brutal.  I need Jedi to become a therapy dog and join me onboard.  Petting him would have made the flight more enjoyable.
  8. Ode to chalkboard art in San Francisco!  Although, I think this was faux chalk.  Nonetheless, me likes.
  9. On a run in San Francisco, I found this gem - the Japanese $1.50 store.  Let's just say, I helped the SF economy that afternoon.
How is your spring unfolding?
